Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Review
Imagine
owning a digital camera with tons of features and softwares to make
things easy! Yes, you read it right since the all new Sony Alpha
DSLR-A580 is exactly what you have always wanted to lay hands upon. The
device includes n number of features and that is what makes it so very
special. Let us find out more about this unique power gadget and see
whether it has enough qualities to impress the masses.
The Sony Alpha
DSLR-A580 is known to include a 16.2 MP lens, 3 inch LCD screen, Memory
Stick Pro Duo, high resolution video capture and other features that you
have always wanted to see in your camera. The device weighs around 1.3
pounds and has dimensions of about 4.1 x 5.4 x 3.3 inches. The camera
clicks decent photographs and thus the Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 can be
compared to almost any of the entry level DSLRs available these days. It
includes a mini HDMI port and a mini USB port for it to be connected to
an HDTV and a computer respectively. The device boasts of an
articulating LCD like few other models available these days. However,
shooting snaps and videos with the articulating LCD screen has never
been this easy. Models like Canon EOS 60D have a similar articulating
screen but it does not match the skill level of the Sony Alpha
DSLR-A580.
The Sony Alpha
DSLR-A580 comes with a special interface for the beginners so that they
can easily navigate through menus and operate this entry level DSLRs.
Previously the users could never set the ISO to Auto but now we do not
see any DSLR camera where you cannot do the same. Hence, the Sony Alpha
DSLR-A580 comes equipped with a similar feature and is considered quite
user friendly all the more. The Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 is a good point and
shoot camera with good noise reduction mode. The device can reduce
noise up to 15 percent even at a high ISO of 6400. Most cameras would
allow you to click 3 snaps with a single click but this new baby from
Sony allows you to get as many as six snaps at a go.
As far as the
performance of the device is concerned, the Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 can
power on and shoot an image in just 0.8 seconds which is incredibly
faster than most of the digital camera that are already available. It is
designed to take snaps at 7 frames per second which is again very
competitive indeed. It is true, that in spite of all the positives that I
have mentioned here, the Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 suffers from few
negatives like zero control over shutter speed while recording videos,
and limited choices of video modes.
Whatever be the
case, the Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 is a decent and budget camera with
features galore. Autofocus, optical viewfinder, Live View mode,
articulating LCD and superior image and video quality are some of the
features that make this device a wonderful camera to be laid hands upon.
